INDEPENDENCE
When you bring your child into the program, he will have the freedom to choose the activities that he likes the most. Encourage him to complete them, and let him discover his mistakes for himself. If you can learn to wait, more often than not, he will discover for himself how to get it right.

CONCENTRATION
How often do you find yourself rushing your child through a task, that she wants to complete herself, just because you are in a hurry? Zipping her coat, helping to dress her, etc. You can't expect a child to learn to concentrate if she is always being interrupted halfway through a task. This program gives your child one hour a week of uninterrupted time to finish activities that she chooses. The satisfactory completion of a task is a reward in itself and leads to self discipline.

CONFIDENCE
Montessori materials are designed to be self-correcting giving your child many opportunities for problem solving. Your child will gain confidence through repetition of tasks, solving her own problems and successfully completing an activity.

RESPECT FOR THE CLASSROOM AND OTHERS
This is a carefully prepared environment where materials are just the right size for small hands and are kept within easy reach of the toddler. Children learn to respect the classroom by keeping their voices low and returning their work to the shelf. Because we don't force the children to share, children learn to respect the work and space of others.
